Advanced ICS: ICS for Command and General Staff and Complex Incidents

TARGET GROUP - Senior personnel expected to perform in a management capacity in an area command/complex incident environment.

TRAINEE PREREQUISITES

• Required - I-300 (ICS-300) Intermediate ICS: ICS for Supervisors and Expanding Incidents

COURSE DESCRIPTION - This course directs the student towards an operational understanding of large single-agency and complex multi-agency/multi-jurisdictional incident responses.

COURSE OBJECTIVES - Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Identify the incident management process of command and general staff functions during complex incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).
• Describe implementation of the incident management process on a complex incident.
• Describe the management and coordination process during multiple incidents.
