Mission Statement

The Klamath Falls Interagency Fire Center has two major components to its mission. It is established to provide a safe, effective and efficient environment at the Klamath Fall Air Tanker Base for the support of aerial firefighting resources. The Klamath Falls Interagency Fire Dispatch Center is established to provide initial attack dispatching and logistical support for all hazard emergency management on federal and state protected lands in the Klamath Basin, and mobilizing resources for incidents. The Fire Center provides services for incidents throughout South Central Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and the Nation.

Lakeview, Oregon - Effective 01:00 p.m., PDT, October 06, 2011 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the State Forester that conditions of fire hazard no longer exist on the following described lands:

KLAMATH-LAKE FOREST PROTECTION DISTRICT NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority invested in me by the provisions of ORS 477.505, do hereby terminate Fire Season on the above described lands.
