Mission Statement

The Klamath Falls Interagency Fire Center has two major components to its mission. It is established to provide a safe, effective and efficient environment at the Klamath Fall Air Tanker Base for the support of aerial firefighting resources. The Klamath Falls Interagency Fire Dispatch Center is established to provide initial attack dispatching and logistical support for all hazard emergency management on federal and state protected lands in the Klamath Basin, and mobilizing resources for incidents. The Fire Center provides services for incidents throughout South Central Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and the Nation.

WILDFIRE DANGER LEVEL DECREASES IN SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON

Lakeview, Oregon - Effective immediately, the Industrial Fire Precaution Level (IFPL) will drop to an IFPL II on lands administered by the Fremont-Winema National Forests and Bureau of Land Management\u2019s (BLM) Lakeview District.

The only Lakeview District BLM-managed lands exempt from this order are those within the Klamath Falls Resource Area that are west of the Langell Valley. This area is under the fire protection of the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF). Information regarding restrictions that apply to ODF-protected lands may be obtained by calling (541) 883-5681 or visiting their Web site.

Lakeview, Oregon - Lakeview, Ore – Effective immediately, Public Use Restrictions (PUR) are rescinded from all lands managed by the Fremont-Winema National Forests and Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Lakeview District. However, the public is reminded to be mindful of fire safety.
